Hey, I’m Jermaine.

I’m interested in three things: how we spend our time, the work we do, and what we leave behind. This site is where I document that journey – a huge bonus if it lifts others up along the way.

I’ve built products and services with curiosity as my compass. Over the last decade I’ve worked across ed-tech, logistics, toys, political campaigns, executive search, and impact projects. The through-line: helping people make better decisions about their money, careers, and futures.

A few snapshots:

  • I worked in political finance for the former California State Treasurer’s gubernatorial campaign.

  • I built an education startup to help students who hated math (I was one of them).

  • I’ve headhunted executives for in the VC/PE ecosystem.

  • I once set out to eat 1,000 tacos and documented every single one on Instagram.

  • I run a business moving goods between Asia and North America, investing our balance sheet in EV, solar, agriculture, and supply chain.

Today my main focus is HeirLight, a simple & smart Will maker. My mission is to build a company to help others live with clarity, starting with having conversations about family, dreams, and money.

I love telling stories through videos and pictures, and I’m working on becoming a better writer.
